This new SHARE catalog requires a PIN in order to log in to your account. The generic PIN assigned to all users should be "changeme" (without quotes). Below are instructions for logging in to your account and changing your PIN:
1. Click on the Library Catalog link at the left.
2. Click on Search Catalog.
3. Click on Waupun.
4. Click on My Account.
5. Click on User PIN Change.
6. Enter in your User ID and current PIN (your user ID is your library barcode
and your current PIN is "changeme"). You can ignore the Alternate ID box.
Below this section, enter and then re-enter a PIN of your choosing in the
appropriate boxes.
You can keep your PIN as "changeme", but we encourage you to create a unique PIN for your account. If at any time you forget your reassigned PIN, simply call or email the library and we can refresh your memory. If you do not feel comfortable changing your PIN, please call or email us and we can change your PIN for you.
We recommend that each time you want to search for items or check your account that you log in at the upper right-hand corner of the screen by entering your User ID and PIN and then clicking on "Login to the e-Library OPAC". This login area will appear on the page after you have clicked on Search Catalog and have chosen Waupun as your library. If you begin searching without logging in, you will have to enter in your user ID and PIN each time you want to place a hold or look at your account. If you log in at the beginning of your searching session in the upper right-hand corner, you will remain logged in until you log yourself out (or the catalog has been idle for a length of time, in which case it will log you out automatically).
Using the SHARE online catalog

Begin by typing your User ID (library card number) and PIN (password) into
the data entry boxes in the upper right hand area of the screen. This will allow
you to place holds and access your account without having to re-enter the
information.
When you type your library card number you must type all 14 digits with NO spaces between them. It does not matter if you type letters in your password upper or lower case but note that the password will display as a series of black dots and you will not be able to read what you are typing.
Searching for Items
The default screen opens with all keyword search options and with your default library set as either the library from whose website you linked to the catalog or with the library set to “All”. “All” searches all the items in all the libraries in SHARE. To get additional searching options, click on the words “Advanced Search.” Search for your item. To limit your search to a specific format (i.e. DVD, VHS, large print, sound [for audio books or music recordings]) simply type that word into the search box with the words from the title. For example: If you wish to find the audiobook Eat, Pray, Love type the following as your terms in the keyword search box:
Eat pray love sound
Placing Holds
When you get your results list click on the blue “More Info” button to learn more about the item. When the detail screen appears you will see the words “Place Hold” on the left side of the screen. Click on “Place Hold”. The title of the item you are requesting will appear with a box showing your library as the pickup location. If you would like to pick it up at another library, you can change that location by selecting another library from the dropdown menu. Do not enter anything into the expiration date box. The system will not automatically expire your hold but will keep it until you receive the item or the item becomes unavailable for some reason.
Accessing your record to renew, check your list, or update information
Click on “My Account” in the blue area at the top of the screen (second menu item from the right). Select the action you would like by clicking on the text, i.e. “Review My Account”.
Reviewing your account:
This will show the list of items currently checked out to you, their due dates and any fines accrued for overdue items. Please note, if the overdue items are not yet returned, the fines accrued are only correct if the item is returned on that day. It will also show any holds that you have placed. In the list of holds, if an item says “Unavailable” that means it is not yet available for you. If it says, “Available for pickup” it means the item is available for you and will show you which library has it waiting for you to pick up. To cancel a hold, click in the box in front of the title of the item, then click on the blue “Cancel selected holds” button.
Renewing Items
Click on My Account and select “Renew Items”
Click in the box in front of any of the items you wish to renew.
Click on the Renew Selected Items button.
Please note the message that you get after clicking the renew button. If there is a reason the item cannot be renewed it will tell you.
User PIN change (password)
Click on My Account and select User PIN Change
You will see your current User ID (library card number) and your current password (PIN). You will need to enter the new PIN twice to verify there are no typos since you will see only black dots, not the actual characters you are typing.
Change My Address
Click on My Account and select Change My address
At this screen you can enter any changes you need to make to your contact information in your account. Your User ID (library card number) should appear at the bottom of the form. You do not need to enter your password at all.
