Library Card Policy
To obtain a library card, a Driver's License or State Identification Card is required. We will accept out-of-state Driver's Licenses and State Identification Cards; however, we ask that when you obtain a Wisconsin Driver's License or State Identification Card that you notify us so we can change your record.
We are directly connected with 44 public libraries in the following counties:
Dodge, Jefferson, Racine, Washington and Walworth. If you have a card from one of these libraries, it will work at the Waupun Public Library with no need to register. If there are fines over $1.00 on your card from any of these locations, you must pay your fine down to $1.00 before you are allowed to check out material on it from the Waupun Public Library.
Children six years and older can also obtain a library card. A parent or legal guardian must be present when the child (under the age of 18) fills out the registration form. The parent must sign giving permission to the child to obtain the card; permission is also required for the child to check out Compact Discs and PG-13, R, and unrated Videos and DVDs. Also required is the Driver's License or State Identification Card of the parent or legal guardian.
